Chemical Index 20: 24 Bottles (16-oz) Per Case:
Jaundochrome is a phenol based embalming chemical which uses the bleaching properties of "phenol" to reduce the yellow-to-green discoloration associated with jaundice. It is a medium index arterial chemical that allows for the gradual adjustment of preservative demand, and contains a moderate amount of dye to help restore the normal redness of the tissue. It also contains other cosmetics that help mask the discoloration normally associated with Jaundice. The use of Bondol's Isolator (water corrector), Bondol's Primotone (anti-coagulant) or other cosmetic fluid can enhance the appearance of surface tissue. Red dye or tint is recommended for extreme discoloration. Surface cosmetics may also be required. Jaundochrome provides a positive pigment control producing a more natural look for the professional results that embalmers demand.
In a later section below there is an exact dilution chart for Jaundochrome based on exact ounces of water and chemicals to arrive at a solution percent. For this chemical, the chart below provides a guidance based on the embalming machine tanks used by most embalmers.

| GALLONS OF WATER IN TANK | 1% Solution | 2% Solution | 3% Solution | 4% Solution | 5% Solution |

There are different methods for dealing with jaundiced cases depending on the severity of the cases, the time of year, how long the body is expected to be held, and other factors. Below is a method we believe can be incorporated in whole or parts for most cases. We recommend using a gallon of water for each injection solution.
Completely wash the body before beginning the embalming process and do a complete inspection and analysis of the body.
PRIMARY INJECTION:
The primary injection consists of 8 to 12 ounces of Primotone (anti-coagulant), and 12 to 16 ounces of Isolator (water corrector) mixed to a total volume of 128 ounces (1 gallon). This is injected with a low rate of flow. Primotone prevents clotting, adjusts the body's "Ph", restores blood volume of vascular system, and prepares the body to accept the chemicals. Isolator bonds with the minerals & salts in the water systems to also help prevent clotting. DO NOT DRAIN.
SECONDARY INJECTION:
The secondary injection consists of two separate 128 ounce increments. Do not expect firmness and fixation at this point.
- Solution "A" consists of 8 to 12 ounces of Primotone, 12 to 16 ounces of Isolator, and 16 ounces of Jaundochrome mixed to a total volume of 128 ounces (1 gallon). Inject at low to standard rate and pressure with continuous drainage.
- Solution "B" consists of 8 to 12 ounces of Primotone, 16 ounces of Isolator, and 24 ounces of Jaundochrome mixed to a total volume of 128 ounces (1 gallon). This is injected at low to standard rate and pressure with continuous drainage.
TERMINAL INJECTION:
- Solution "C" consists of 16 ounces of Isolator, and 24 to 32 ounces of Jaundochrome mixed to a total volume of 128 ounces (1 gallon). This is injected at low to standard rate with continuous drainage. The amount of Jaundochrome used is indicated by the fixation and firmness of tissue desired by the operator and achieved by prior injections.
NOTE:
Ave. body: 150-lbs to body mass, 1 gallon of 3% solution for each 50-lbs of body mass.
If Edema is present, use 2 to 4 ounces of Dropsytone with each injection depending on observations. In extreme cases, use "Restrictive Cervical Injection" and inject upward.
Indications of effectiveness of iniection:
Dryness and slight ashing of surface tissue and Muscle firmness. Clearing of yellow to greenish discoloration: observe eyes, inner surface of lips, hands and nail beds.
RESULTS: Well-preserved and embalmed body professionally treated for Jaundice.
General Effects:
- Special formulation for jaundice cases.
- Contains a skill blend of bleaching agents that will overcome yellow discolorations and suppress green reaction.
- Full preservation and tissue firmness are delivered
Mixes / Uses
- 12 oz / gallon for most cases
- 14 to 16 oz/gallon for edema & emaciated cases
